Junior College Learning Assistant

Concordia Lutheran College is seeking a passionate, highly professional and suitably qualified Learning Assistant with experience in or a demonstrated interest in working in a prep classroom. 

This is a permanent part-time opportunity for you to proactively support and assist prep students to ensure they can fully participate in inspiring, relevant and engaging learning opportunities.

The position works 30 hours a week term-time (plus 2 weeks) from Monday to Friday and is available for commencement from the 15th of April.  

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• a Certificate III in Education Support, with First Aid and CPR qualifications being highly desirable.
• a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• experience or a demonstrated interest in working in a prep classroom or an early years environment. 
• a demonstrated passion for supporting students and their personal development in all areas - academic, social, emotional and physical. 
• an empathy with and understanding of an inclusive education philosophy where students are supported alongside their peers, with reasonable adjustments tailored to meet their individual needs. 
• exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with all members of the community in a professional manner.
• a demonstrated commitment to support the Christian Lutheran ethos of the College.
