Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and skilled Junior Computer Technician to join our high-performance team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career looking to grow and develop with us. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing fast and detail-oriented customer service support, and fostering long-term relationships with our customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour core focus will be providing technical support services to our customers, via phone, email, by remote support or onsite in collaboration with our director.
- Hardware and Software Support: Provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure all IT-related problems are resolved promptly either onsite or within our office.
- Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the setup, installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and network devices either onsite or within our office.
- Software Updates: Assist in keeping software and operating systems up-to-date, ensuring security patches and updates are applied as necessary either onsite or within our office.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, track hardware and software licenses, and coordinate equipment procurement.
- Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including manuals and guides for users.
- User Training: Conduct user training sessions on basic IT tools and procedures either onsite or within our office.
- Quoting and Solutions Consulting: provide technical solutions to our customers
- Backup and Recovery: Assist in implementing and monitoring data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

The days you work will be mutually agreed upon the week prior, however we are looking for someone to work 2 – 4 days per week, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, which could include working within school hours.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
You will be a standout candidate if you:
- Have attained or are working towards a Certificate III or Diploma in Information Technology, or a related field
- Have experience in a IT Support role with a minimum of six months of experience
- Self-manage workload and excellent task prioritisation skills
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- A good working knowledge of iOS, Android, Windows and MacOS
- An understanding of networks, systems administration and cyber security
- Have a keen interest in the IT industry and have a basic understanding of business IT solutions
- Creative thinker with good eye for content ideas and creative sales propositions
- Attention to detail, especially when selling distinct packages under different business names
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Have effective negotiating and customer service skills
- The candidate should have a minimum P2 licence and their own vehicle
