About the Role
We are excited to welcome a Junior Contracts Administrator to our Shared Services Division on a part-time, permanent basis (30.4 hours per week). Based at our Canning Vale HQ and reporting directly to the Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in supporting the tender, negotiation, delivery, and close-out phases of the contract lifecycle. As a valued team member, you will be expected to engage in continuous improvement activities and contribute to our organisational goals for a lean and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide pre-execution support and assist the Legal Counsel with:
- Reviewing contracts and terms & conditions (from EPC/EPCM, mining companies, and suppliers).
- Identifying and mitigating contractual risks.
- Completing commercial clarifications.
- Assessing contract cash flow.
- Participating in internal governance meetings.
Proactive Contract Handover, Administration, and Project Management Support:
- Progress payments, invoicing, and reporting.
- Notices of Delay/Extensions of Time/Variations.
- Handle incoming Technical Queries/Requests for Information.
- Manage delivery and return of Insurance Certificates of Currency and Bank Guarantees.
- Participate in regular meetings with project managers, clients, and PPSR matters.
General/Other Responsibilities:
- Address general commercial issues and questions.
- Support accounts receivable with unpaid invoices.
- Drive continuous improvement regarding industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in contract management.
- Assist with updating and creating new internal processes and policies.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in an administration role, ideally within the construction, commercial, or mining industries. - High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional, friendly demeanor and strong team collaboration skills.
- Experience dealing with contracts for design, supply, manufacture, and installation.
- Desirable software knowledge includes Smartsheet, MS Suite, Aconex, and FELIX.
