We are seeking a Junior Economic Analyst based in Canberra.
Responsibilities
- Support the Economics team with proficient use of excel, power BI, R Studio, SAS and other systems as required.
- Apply economic theory to agriculture including the use of benefit cost analysis and impact assessments to support investment decisions.
- Bespoke analysis on commodity prices, trade, and financial forecasting.
- Maintain up to date understanding of key data sources for the grain industry.
Candidate Profile:
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Business, or Science with business credentials. Agricultural qualifications or experience is desirable.
- The ability to develop analytical skills and the capacity to provide sound economic analyses.
- The ability to demonstrate presentation skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and re-prioritise as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be prepared to travel as and when required.
- Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks.
