About the role
As a member of the Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team, you’ll work with experienced environmental professionals to deliver varied and interesting projects for our clients. You’ll have access to Senior and Principal consultants who will support you to develop your technical expertise, project management, report writing and consulting skills.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Fieldwork for a range of preliminary and detailed contaminated site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring, remediation and validation.
- Contributing to the management of site remediation activities.
- Data management, interpretation, and quality assurance/quality control.
- Contributing to the drafting of technical reports and project correspondence for contaminated land assessments, remediation and validation.
- On site management of contractors and sub-contractors.
- Preparation of contaminated land management plans (including asbestos management plans, unexpected finds procedures and others).
- Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals.
About you
Ideally you will have:
- A desire and drive to develop and grow as a contaminated land consultant.
- A degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
- 1-2 years hands-on field work/consultancy experience
- A sound understanding of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team focus
- A curious and sharp mind that is keen to learn
- A great attitude and a strong sense of initiative and drive
- Enthusiasm for producing high quality work that delivers practical solutions for our clients
- Asbestos clearance experience and/or LAA accreditation whilst not mandatory, is favourable
