The Role:We are looking for a skilled Dryland Farmhand who can confidently work alone and handle all aspects of dryland farming. As a Dryland Farmhand, your responsibilities will include planting winter and summer crops, spraying (including camera spraying), harvesting, general maintenance, cleaning and servicing of machinery, grain cartage, and safe chemical handling. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in dryland farming and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the various tasks involved. The Property & Employer:
This vast property is spread over a sprawling area of 5000 hectares, out of which 4500 hectares are dedicated to cropping. The property is conveniently located just 65 km away from Goondiwindi and a mere 10 km from Toobeah. As a farmhand, you will be working in collaboration with the farm manager and another farmhand. While working with the team, you will also have the opportunity to work independently when required.
This is a broadacre cropping role that will require you to operate modern machinery to get the job done. You will have the privilege of working with the latest John Deere fleet with GPS and a new G6 Goldacres Sprayer. The role involves large-scale cropping, and you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the machinery.
The Offer:
Our clients are offering a generous salary package of $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience. This package will be beneficial during peak seasons when the demand for work increases. The cottage accommodation provided has three bedrooms and one bathroom, making it ideal for a small family or couple. Additionally, you will have access to an on-farm work vehicle.

- A car licence.

- Previous experience with dryland cropping is ideal.
- Mechanical ability and/or fabrication skills are beneficial.
- An up-to-date Chemcert is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and the ability to communicate well.
- Be a great team player who is willing to learn and grow.
