Condabri Beef (Drury Farming Company Pty Ltd) is a family owned and operated, cultural and values based integrated company comprising of Feedlot, Backgrounding, Logistics & Farming Enterprises. Construction has commenced on a large-scale expansion of the current feedlot footprint.
Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and Experienced Livestock Hand to join our expanding team, working every day in the feedlot and backgrounding livestock related operational areas. You’ll be a proactive and positive member of the Condabri Beef team, who has a passion for cattle, willingness to learn and be part of an expanding family organisation.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Daily livestock and pen movements which emphasise a low-stress stock handling method.
- Carry out daily pen riding and hospital treatment of cattle as required.
- Ensure health of cattle and horses within the feedlot is monitored and maintained as per our QA requirements and company procedures.
- Induction and drafting of all livestock with an emphasis on data integrity, quality and animal welfare.
- Arrival and dispatching of livestock.
- Daily team communication and alignment with Feedmill, Maintenance, Office and Logistics.
Ideal skillset;
- Driver’s licence and own transport essential.
- Two suitable working horses with Hendra vaccination.
- Proven horsemanship skills
- Proven Livestock understanding and handling skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with Elynx Programs - StockAid & FY3000 an advantage.
- Strong focus on safety, animal welfare and bio-security standards.
- Physically fit to meet the inherent requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks.
