Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Junior Firmware Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Warners Bay, NSW. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborating with experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain firmware solutions for our cutting-edge instruments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to kick-start their career in Firmware Development within a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and develop firmware specifications.
  • Design, implement, and test firmware for embedded systems, ensuring high quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving firmware-related issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in Firmware Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and Firmware Development principles.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Knowledge of electronic design principles and experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and peripherals.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous internship or project experience related to Firmware Development and electronic design.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Australian class C driver's license.
