The Role:
As a Junior Graphic Design & Content Creator at Jones Retail Group you will play a key role in the creation of visually appealing and effective marketing materials. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with the layout and formatting of our weekly product catalogues, coordinating with product specialists to determine product selections, and designing social media assets including creative reels and photography.
Additionally, you will be responsible for creating collateral such as brochures and booklets to support our marketing initiatives and regular events throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design the layout and formatting of weekly products within the catalogue template, ensuring they are visually appealing and accurately represented.
- Serve as the main point of contact for product specialists, gathering necessary information and product details for inclusion in catalogues.
- Design and produce social media assets, including graphics, banners, and other visual content to support our online presence and marketing campaigns.
- Create brochures, booklets, and other printed materials that align with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency and quality across all design projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of our design materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and colour theory
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable (not essential) Skills:
- Experience in retail or product-based industries
- Basic knowledge of web design and digital marketing principles
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams

This role is ideally full-time; however, we would consider candidate applications from university students in their last year of study and as such could work 3-4 days a week until completion of their degree.
