Due to an internal promotion Flavorite has a vacancy for a Junior Grower to join the Mansfield Team. This is not your ordinary growing environment, we utilise highly specialised growing techniques to propagate and grow our produce, and the people that undertake these tasks are integral to its success.

The Junior Grower is responsible for assisting in the development, management and implementation of growing strategies that ensures both maximum production levels and high-quality crops.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementation of the irrigation strategies
• Crop observation and reporting of issues that arise
• Make fertiliser mix to specifications
• Assist with the pest and diseases monitoring and reporting
• Assist with training and supervision in the operation of equipment
• Assist with labour management to achieve order timelines
• Check quality of tasks completed throughout the fields
• Trouble shoot growing software and maintenance issues
• Participate in the on-call roster
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs on all equipment

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working in crops
• Climate Software Experience
• Intermediate Computer Skills
• Sound Math Skills
• Strong safety awareness
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to follow procedure & instructions
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
