Grant Interiors Group is a leading interiors company which operates several brands in the Australian marketplace. We have been in operation for nearly 25 years.
We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic Junior Interior Designer to work within our design business. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who wishes to enter the industry and is willing to learn the business from the ground up and support our Senior designers.
We require someone with a confident nature who will enjoy assisting our team dealing with all facets that the role entails including,
- administrative support
- assisting with design selections;
- preparing moodboards;
- tracking stock in warehouse;
- having a having creative flair as well as being hands on.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys having a busy and challenging role. We need candidates who are confident, thrive on working closely with all team members including designers and logistics team and assisting where possible. You will have high energy, enjoy a mixture of challenges that the industry brings as well as the ability to take initiative, think quickly and work well under pressure.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following functions including but not limited too;
- Assisting with client enquiries;
- Arranging and attending site visits with Senior Designer;
- Calendar management and co-ordinating installations and appointments
- Assisting Senior Designers with selections preparing design concepts and moodboards;
- Attending the installation and set-up of the furniture and working alongside the logistics team (includes interstate travel)
- Administrative duties including updating client spreadsheets and ordering products from suppliers and arranging deliveries.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently studying or Degree/Diploma Qualified in Interior Design
- Ideally experience working with clients in a design or service based industry (but not essential)
- Ability to work well with direction as well as being able to work autonomously
- Confident and outgoing, with a strong work ethic and a team player;
- Relevant computer skills including, Microsoft Suite, Adobe In-design, Canva, Powerpoint and cloud based systems ideal but not essential.
DRIVERS LICENSE ESSENTIAL
