THE ROLE
As a Junior Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our senior design team in conceptualizing and executing interior design projects for high-end properties. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where creativity and innovation thrive. You will be involved in various aspects of the design process, from brainstorming initial concepts to contributing to the development of detailed design plans. Your passion for design, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will be essential as you contribute to the creation of unique and inspiring spaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts that align with client preferences and project goals.
- Assist in creating mood boards, sketches, and 3D renderings to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Research and source materials, furniture, and fixtures to support design concepts.
- Participate in site visits and meetings to gain insights into project requirements and constraints.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials for client meetings.
- Assist in the development of detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design techniques.
MUST HAVE’S
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in interior design preferred. 1-2 years minimum.
- Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite and a CAD program (Vectorworks ideal) and Programa (not necessary but Ideal)
- Strong conceptual and creative skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
- Passion for design and eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
