Live - What you will do
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer/Paralegal to join our Sydney-based Legal team. This newly created position reports to the Director, Legal & Company Secretary and is a part-time (3 days a week), 12-month contract role. In this role, you'll work closely with the Legal Director & Company Secretary, provide legal support to draft/review/edit legal documents prior to execution and research legal issues relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to the Legal Department of a global biotechnology leader.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents including contracts prior to execution
- Assist in drafting correspondence and responses with meticulous detail
- Conduct research on legal issues relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
- Implement new processes and procedures to streamline workflow
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Liaise and communicate effectively with employees when assisting with legal matters

- Completed a legal degree in NSW or a paralegal course with strong academic results
- Prior experience as a Graduate Solicitor/Paralegal (1-2 years)
- Availability to work part-time (3 days per week)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and strong focus on quality of work
- Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Residency and Work rights in Australia essential
