As one of the established and renowned Not For Profit organizations, my client is looking for an experiencedJunior Management Accountant OR Management Accountantto join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time opportunity. The candidate must have Homecare experience. The role can be called as Management Accountant for the right candidate - based on experience.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Perform the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare Sydney's Mission, Vision and Values
- Business partnering for the Homecare and Disability Services, including reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- An understanding of the current Aged Care Act, the proposed New Aged Care Act and the National
- Disability Insurance Scheme (and the rules and regulations that govern the sectors)
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for Homecare and Clinical Therapies and Disability Services
- Preparing and assisting with acquittals and acquittal lodgements
- Contribute to and monitor performance measures, preparation of detailed analysis and
- commentaries to support budget development and strategic planning and decision making
- Take leadership in resolving financial performance management issues, supported by appropriate analysis
- Guide and influence business case prioritization to ensure alignment with the finance strategy
- Preparing, reconciling, and reviewing monthly bank and GL reconciliations
- Assisting with end of month and annual financial reporting
- Periodically assisting with debtor follow up.
- Entering services and funding into our Care Management System and updating this for financial information as required
- Dealing with service/funding queries issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assisting the Finance Manager and Director with ad hoc tasks, reporting and projects as required
- Undertake appropriate WHS training and comply with CatholicCare WHS policies and procedures.
- This includes job specific requirements as well as minimizing any potential risks and reporting any hazards or incidents you may observe or be involved in.
- Other duties as directed from time to time.
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
- Part qualified or fully qualified CA/CPA
- Strong business partnering skills and being able to work and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Experience working with a range of ERP systems and Power BI knowledge would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong customer service ethic.
- MUST have exposure within Homecare space
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Able to work independently with great time management
- Happy to travel to different location - once a month
Benefits
- Permanent full time opportunity
- $80,000 - $90,000 + Super (Based on experience) - can go slightly higher based on experience
