About the role
Due to business growth, we are looking to add a full time Junior Market Analyst to our team. You will be provided with mentoring where you will learn directly from and be supported by our highly experienced senior team.
In this broad role covering FX, IR and commodity markets, you will be exposed to global financial markets, dynamic hedging and strategic derivative applications. You will have the opportunity to work with large corporates, private equity companies and real asset managers.
A key part of your role will be engaging with and building relationships directly with our clients.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and developing detailed financial models and forecasts
- Partner management and clients on monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and forecasts
- Preparing monthly / quarterly budget vs. actuals variance analysis, accurately identifying causes of variances, and developing remediation approaches
- Performing ad hoc analysis that provides data driven insights and promotes the achievement of strategic goals and deliverables
- Proactively supporting the management of client FX and interest rate exposures
- Providing support for trade clients, including structuring derivatives and sourcing prices from banks and brokers
- Measuring, monitoring and managing risks faced by the Treasury divisions of our clients
- Risk modelling and treasury transformation projects, as well as systems and reporting development
- Identifying innovative and value-adding initiatives for both clients and the firm they work for
About you
To be considered for this role you will need to be confident and capable performing client-facing duties.
Additionally, you will need to bring:
- An undergraduate degree (major in business, economics, finance, financial statistics or other relevant degree)
- Highly numerate with a good understanding and keen interest in financial markets, economics and derivatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for maintenance of models and report writing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Hardworking, conscientious, trustworthy and good team working skills
- Experience in a similar role may be looked upon favourably, however is not essential
- Knowledge of Python, Javascript, VBA (Excel Macros), PowerBI would be beneficial
