digiDirect is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Junior Product Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about IT and eager to grow within the retail and technology sectors.

As a Junior Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing products, brand and supplier relationships within the Computers, Mobiles, Gaming, and Streaming categories. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a retail background looking to transition into purchasing, product management, or category management.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to digiDirect’s Department Manager for Computers, Mobiles, Gaming, and Streaming Category, the successful candidate will be entrusted to:

• Manage the product roadmap for Key Brands in the Computers, Mobiles, Gaming, and Streaming categories.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, Accounts and Returns.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment with business objectives.
• Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for product enhancements or introductions.
• Support retail operations, including sales analysis, inventory management, and merchandising strategies.
• Work closely with store managers to introduce core product ranges and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers in the technology industry.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to identify potential new partnerships.
• Take advantage of training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Proactively seek mentorship and guidance from senior team members to accelerate career growth.

Qualifications:

• Passion for IT and technology products.
• Retail experience or understanding of retail operations.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic/Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel if required to Stores, Suppliers, and Vendors.
