Position Overview: You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a range of projects in size, scale & sector across the portfolio. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant post graduate experience, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and a proven track record in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize project efficiency.
- Tendering contracts through all procurement stages
- Drafting and writing up scopes, contracts, RFI's & other construction based documentation requirements
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Proactively address issues to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with quality control teams.
Team Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership to on-site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensure clear communication channels.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep senior management informed about project status, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in on-site construction project management.
- Proven experience in managing Class 2 construction projects is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations and standards; particularly the BDP Act.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
