Junior Project Manager / Contracts Admin

Position Overview: You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a range of projects in size, scale & sector across the portfolio. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant post graduate experience, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and a proven track record in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize project efficiency.
• Tendering contracts through all procurement stages
• Drafting and writing up scopes, contracts, RFI's & other construction based documentation requirements

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Proactively address issues to prevent delays or cost overruns.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with quality control teams.

Team Leadership:

• Provide effective leadership to on-site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular team meetings and ensure clear communication channels.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Address client concerns promptly and professionally.

Reporting:

• Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep senior management informed about project status, challenges, and successes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in on-site construction project management.
• Proven experience in managing Class 2 construction projects is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations and standards; particularly the BDP Act.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
