We currently have a couple of opportunities for Junior Construction Project Managers to join our team in our Newtown based office and develop their career. Located in a historic warehouse conversion in the bustling suburb of Newtown, our office is close to public transport and amenities including Newtown and Enmore's vibrant cafe and restaurant scene.
Ascot Project Management is a dynamic consultancy that specialises in providing Client Side Project Management for development and property clients across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, retail and office fitout.
We require a Junior Construction Project Manager to assist the team so we can continue to provide the focused service that our reputation is based on.
Position Description
This role will see you assist in the day-to-day coordination of Construction Projects, including:
- Assisting with planning and design,
- Assisting with the procurement of building contractors and consultants,
- Assisting with site inspections and site meetings, including the monitoring of workmanship, and the preparation of relevant follow-up documentation,
- Assess and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
- Recording and distributing the minutes of meetings and producing, distributing and following up on action items,
- Consulting with Architects, Engineering Professionals and other professional, and Technical and Trades Workers
- Preparing draft correspondence, forms and assisting with the preparation of presentations, reports and data,
- Monitoring overall time, costs, quality, budget and risk.
- Developing tenders and contract bids
- Managing submission of plans to local authorities
- Providing administrative support including administration of consultants and construction related contracts,
Mandatory Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of work experience in client-side Construction Project management.
- Must hold a University degree in a relevant discipline, such as Construction Management, Architecture, Development Management or Project Management.
