THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to provide the support to our PMs to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of various projects within our organisation. Working closely with them and learning to be able to handle projects for themselves.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Collaborate with clients and internal Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Ensure that project goals align with the overall organizational objectives.
- Regularly update project schedules and communicate any deviations to the relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate project progress, technical updates, and potential roadblocks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide administrative support to Project Managers, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing project-related correspondence
Technical Liaison
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and project stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and understanding.
- Translate technical jargon into layman's terms for non-technical team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying technical requirements and dependencies for project planning.
Resource Management
- Work closely with technical leads to allocate resources appropriately, ensuring the right skill sets are available for each project phase.
- Monitor resource utilisation and provide recommendations for optimising efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
- Generate regular project status reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and meeting minutes
- Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in project coordination or project management related roles, preferably in a technical environment.
- Experience or knowledge of Payments environment and credit card schemes an advantage.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management tools and software. Jira essential.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
