Reporting directly to the Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project end-to-end and future projects in the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Supervising a team of sub-contractors.
- Collaborate closely with developer to resolve design issues during construction phases.
- Oversee contracts and advise on cost-saving improvements.
- Ideally around 3 years experience or relevant experience on site for some time.
- Experience on multi-residential projects.
- Proficiency in class 2 construction.
- Exposure to reading and understanding the fundamentals of a tender.
- Ability to resolve construction details effectively.
- Experience with doors, locks, windows, metalworks, and finishing trades.
- Understanding of basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical services.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with team members and subcontractors.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
- Well-presented with excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to learning and teaching.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Own vehicle, valid driver's license, white card, and Australian work rights.
- Contract Administrator experience.
- General Knowledge of the Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
- Experience working in residential, commercial build or structural refurbishment projects.
- Good communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Designer to develop leadership skills.
- Ideally a bachelor of construction management.
- Ability to build successful teams and maintain strong relationships.
- Trade and/or safety qualifications.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to problem solve.
- Knowledge of Procore and MS Project would be handy but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of running site-based teams, liaising with clients, and managing subcontractors.
