Job Summary: BKC Media is seeking a Junior Search Engine Optimisation Manager to join our fast growing agency. This role requires a computer literate and fast learner to gain an entry level into Digital Media Performance and the digital landscape. You'll gain a strong understanding on what drives website performance and Search Engines such as Google, Bing, YouTube and many other channels. There is a lot to learn in this space and you'll build a foundational skill set that will lead into greater pathways as well as becoming an skilled expert in SEO.
The ideal candidate will have strong computer literacy skills, a basic understanding of coding (HTML) as well as an eye for written content .
You will be guided by the Managing Director with over 20 years of experience in the industry as well as a talented team that is willing to succeed.
Job Commencement: July 2024 preferred

Wage
The wage for this role will be calculated at minimum wage dependent on experience with standard employment requirements including holiday pay and public holidays etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic to client websites.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for content optimization and new content creation.
- Perform on-page optimization, including meta tags, headings, URL structure, and internal linking to enhance website performance.
- Assist in creating and optimizing high-quality, SEO-friendly content for client websites, blogs, and other digital platforms.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other industry-standard software.
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues that may impact search engine visibility.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective and competitive.
- Collaborate with the content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of website development and content creation.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Employment Details:
Timings
Full Time Role 38 hrs per week with flexible time allocations throughout the week. However, as default, your required time at the office will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday QLD time unless otherwise agreed upon. Flexible working hours employment arrangements for University students encouraged to apply.
Work Location
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work in the Coolangatta office. This is a very interpersonal role.
