About the role
Join part of our busy team reporting to the Stores Supervisor. This full time, permanent role is based in our Western Sydney warehouse.
This is an opportunity to build a long-term career with the possibility for advancement for a candidate with the right skill set.
We will provide onsite and on the job training and you will be supported by the Store Supervisor and the Production / Stores Manager.
Your key Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Receiving & despatching shipments
- Manual Picking, Packing & QC checking of shipments from less than 1kg up to large Pump Sets weighing several tonnes.
- Loading & unloading trucks
- Crating large set builds for the Building & Fire markets and Industrial markets
- Good handyperson skills & experience using power tools is essential.
- Software used - Ausvantage ERP (in house system), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & Transport company dispatch portals etc
- Using forklifts, pallet jacks & other manual handling / lifting equipment
- Stocktake / Cycle Counts and inventory control.
- Heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ad hoc duties including general housekeeping as required.
The Successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A strong work ethic based on efficiency, accuracy & an ability to prioritize workload.
- Motivation to work as part of the team or autonomously with the aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for the team.
- Accept direction from supervisors or managers.
- Reliability and commitment to do overtime when requested.
- Does not need previous experience in Warehousing but has a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
About You
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to plan, schedule and manage time efficiently.
- Physically fit & healthy as manual handling & heavy lifting is a requirement for this role.
- Have the commitment to adhere to all Kelair Pumps policies & procedures including Quality and WHSE.
- Customer focus and an ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong computer literacy skills including Outlook, Excel, Word & Ausvantage ERP in house system (or similar)
- Forklift license viewed favorably but can be obtained when you start in the role.
- Current Australian manual driver’s license is preferred.
