Chief Operating Officer Group | ICT Division | Visa Citizenship & Digital Systems | Enterprise Testing & System Assurance

Home Affairs is a strategy led Department that operates in a complex, rapidly changing environment. Within Home Affairs the Enterprise Testing & Systems Assurance (ETSA) section is building a highly skilled and specialised work force, working towards technical enablement and empowering Home Affairs in developing high quality products. 

Our vision is "enabling delivery, driving transformation" and we are looking for people who can help us to strive for quality in process, products and systems. The section includes two service capabilities:

  • Enterprise testing services, delivered under a Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) framework, to meet (ETSA)advisory, testing, acceptance and release compliance obligations to the Department.
  • Systems assurance services to ensure that Departmental and Portfolio agency systems are operational, stable and suitable for consumption in the non-production environments.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will identify improvements and contribute to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testing and will also:

  • Plan and undertake testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service development
  • Be a collegiate, team player to actively contribute to team objectives and take responsibility for own outcomes
  • Be competent writing and can produce artefacts to support project delivery such as, but not limited to, test plans, test summary reports
  • Understand how to work adhering to standards, guidelines, processes and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and dependencies for testing activities.

Additional information

It is expected that a Junior Test Analyst would have the following:

  • Must possess a growth mindset and is a quick and enthusiastic learner
  • Experience with the testing lifecycle across differing project methodologies and complex systems
  • Experience with test Automation and/or Performance Testing would be preferable but is not mandatory.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting  (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
