Your role:
As a junior (green) planner you will develop all these responsibilities over time.
- Meeting with local government officials, developers and the public regarding development plans and land use.
- Gathering and analysing economic, environmental, census and market research data.
- Conducting field investigations to analyse factors affecting land use.
- Reviewing site plans submitted by developers.
- Assessing the feasibility of proposals and recommending whether they should proceed.
- Staying up to date with zoning and building codes, environmental regulations and other legal issues.
- Carrying out site surveys, inspections and impact assessments.
- Presenting plans and reports to stakeholders.
- Obtaining required permit
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline
- A minimum of 6 months local experience.
- Passion
- Demonstrated understanding of QLD planning policies and legislation, or a willingness to learn if your experience is from interstate or overseas.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
