The Opportunity:
We have an exciting new opportunity for an innovative and passionate Junior UI/UX Designer to join our Product Team. Whether you have some experience in UI/UX Designing, or just at the start of your career, we would still love to speak with you! About the role:
You will play a vital role in improving the user interface while working alongside the UI/UX Designer, Product Team and members of the agile and frontend teams. Your mission is to improve AroFlo’s frontend layouts, components and pages to ensure the user experience is consistent and accessible.
What your day could look like:
- Ensuring that our existing UI and new enhancements align with AroFlo design guidelines as part of quality control for our user experience to ensure a consistent brand representation.
- Conduct product research and offer valuable insight to the team.
- Make strategic UI and UX decisions on new and existing functionality.
- Maintaining consistent and reusable components that are easily accessible to internal teams.
- Design, prototype, and execute user experiences, including layout design, typography, and micro-interactions.
- Present design concepts with confidence to various stakeholders and teams across the business.
- Understanding user problems and uncovering product pain points to design interfaces that meet the needs of the end user.
- Work collaboratively with the UI/UX Designer, Product Owners, Developers, Documentation and Marketing teams.
- Identifying ways to improve business processes.
About you:
- Proficiency using Figma and any complimentary ancillary tools.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Confidence designing with auto-layouts, component variations and component properties.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience of the product development cycle for one or more web or mobile apps.
- Experience developing user flows, sketches and annotated wireframes.
- Research and product discovery experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your rationale.
- Proficient in visual design with a sharp sense of aesthetics.
- Ability to build positive working relationships.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and JS is a bonus.
