Junior/Trainee Sales Agronomist

 We are currently offering an exciting career opportunity for a Junior / Trainee Sales Agronomist to work alongside experienced professionals gaining hands-on experience, developing agronomic skills, and working within a supportive and collaborative environment.   You will be mentored and supported in your role and your knowledge and skills will be developed by a strong local and National Team.  In this role, you will also have the opportunity to travel and learn from other production regions and broaden your skills. 

 This full-time position is based at the Serve-Ag, Scottsdale Branch in NE Tasmania.   

 Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be servicing both existing and prospective customers in the region and working with a wide variety of enterprises including dairy, beef and vegetable production systems. 

 Key areas of responsibility will include: 

• Willingness to learn and an interest in the agriculture industry 
• Working closely and collaboratively with other members of the Serve-Ag team locally and the National E. E. Muir & Sons team.   
• Be part of an energetic team of people that are highly focused on the success of their customers.  
• Highly motivated and results orientated. 
• Sales of required inputs to the customer base. 

 Skills & Experience 

• A qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field is preferred, however not essential. 
• Strong attention to detail 
• A passion for agriculture with an entrepreneurial mind set. 
• Good presentation, communication and relationship building skills  
• Excellent customer service skills with an ability and willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders essential to your success in this role. 
• Relevant computer skills across the Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook 
• A current unrestricted drivers' license is essential.
