- Manage the provision of quality property and Leasing advice to CSIRO Business & Infrastructure Services (CBIS) and key stakeholders as required.
- Effectively manage Estates/Assets and Leasing agreements and renewals.
- Manage the Third-Party Property Services Contract for service deliverables including Facility Maintenance (FM), Property Service Desk, Leasing and Financial processes including payments runs and accruals.
- Management of the Leasing and Estate team to support the operation of the Third-Party Property Services Contract.
- Efficient and effective management and advice related to heritage, legal and environmental with key stakeholders.
- Provide appropriate reports and data within timelines requested.
- Effective contribution and participation in the CBIS management team and support and drive whole of CBIS initiatives including BU communication, strategic planning, capability development and culture change.
- Supporting Executive Managers in the CBIS Regional clusters to optimise the property operating expenditure for the CSIRO Estate (sites, facilities and accommodation).
- Manage the valuation cycles of the CSIRO Estate as required.
- Manage budgets and be accountable of outcomes.
- Management and oversight of annual reporting as required, such as the Senate Order and all Statutory reporting.
- Take responsibility for effective team performance including development of team members.
- Relevant qualification and/or relevant experience in, and high-level understanding of Leasing and Estate Management.
- Managing in the Commonwealth environment and an understanding of the associated regulatory, compliance and funding issues.
- Strong people management skills particularly managing people and teams remotely.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and to seek clarity with a track record in managing change and viewing new situations as an opportunity for learning and growth.
- Knowledge and contribution to the of management of estates/assets, leasing agreements, heritage, legal and environmental.
- Strong skills to manage or support the management of contracts.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability influence stakeholders whilst providing a customer centric approach.
- Knowledge of the property industry and networks together with experience in contributing to the development of property strategy, support maintaining budgets and statutory reporting, writing business cases and policies.
- Proven capability in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships (externally and internally).
- Understanding and knowledge of the Land Acquisitions Act (LAA) as it related to Commonwealth Properties.
- Understanding and knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013 and how it applies to the Commonwealth.
