About Timberlink:

Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

At Timberlink we embrace innovation, and this drives our constant growth. We are currently building two purpose-built manufacturing plants to adjoin our existing facilities at both of our sites. Complementing our already diverse range of products, we will be manufacturing new timber products including cross laminated & glue laminated timber (NeXTimber) and wood-plastic composite decking & screening, expanding our business into new markets in 2023. These products will take Timberlink from being primarily a structural timber manufacturer to a structural engineered timber products and solutions business.

About the role:

Our mill is situated in Bell Bay (Approx. 30 minutes from Launceston) and currently has around 200 employees on site.

Due to continued growth in the business, we are now searching for a skilled Kilns Loader Driver / Labourer to join our team working Tuesday to Friday day shift.  The Kilns Loader Driver will be responsible for achieving production timelines and working within a small team of people to safely achieve targeted production outcomes.

What we require you to have:

  • Forklift licence  - desirable
  • Loader licence 
  • Proven leadership skills
  • An ability to maintain production outputs whilst working unsupervised for long periods
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Own car and licence
  • The ability to interpret and follow production schedules
  • Exceptional communication, numeric and literacy skills
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
