About the Role
- Be able to work up to 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) between 9am and 2.30pm and willing to step into Chef's role during any periods of absence or leave
- Support the Centre in preparing nutritious meals, purees, and special meals for babies and children as well as assist with budgeting and costing for the kitchen when required
- Enjoy greeting people in a friendly manner and providing barista service to families (experience preferred but training provided if you are not experienced with this)
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
- Be a part of the centre's regular culinary classes with the children
Qualifications
- A Hospitality Certificate and Food Safety Certificate
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Child Protection Training
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen (preferred, but not essential)
