About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you play a crucial role in the final steps of preparing and serving cooked, chilled meals. Food arrives pre-cooked and chilled from an offsite location. Your tasks include reheating meals to perfection, ensuring food safety standards, and presenting dishes beautifully to residents.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Adding necessary additions or garnishes to meals and presenting each dish with care for the residents
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen to support an efficient workflow
- Serving residents either in their rooms or in dining areas, as needed
What we are looking for
- Recent experience in a kitchen setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Empathy and respect for Aged Care residents, staff, and clients
- Good customer service skills and a well-presented appearance
