We are currently seeking passionate people to become part of our dynamic culinary team. Play a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the kitchen; contributing to the smooth functioning of the kitchen operations. Additionally, you should possess fundamental cooking skills and a comprehensive understanding of kitchen safety.

- Kitchen Hands – experienced in a similar BOH roles within a commercial kitchen
- Sandwich Hands – experienced in gourmet sandwich making
Requirements
- Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills
- Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards. This involves conducting temperature and quality checks and effectively managing cross-contamination
- Support kitchen staff in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
- Take on hands-on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals
- Exhibit excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to a work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster including morning, days and nights
- Reliable own transport as some shifts are not supported by public transport to and/or from the airport
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand is advantageous or
- Previous experience as a Sandwich Hand is advantageous
- Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain at onboarding
