Joondalup Sports Association is seeking a Kitchen Manager to run our catering operation at the club.
Candidates are expected to be available:
- Monday evening
- Friday evening
- Saturday and Sunday all day
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain kitchen presentation, cleanliness and product integrity
Maintain safe, secure and healthy workplace environment
Stock control and ordering
Effective communication with Bar/Duty Manager
Assisting Venue Manager with weekly budgets and food costing
Effective management of kitchen staff ensuring quality of product and service
Opening/closing of restaurant
Managing all maintenance and repairs of kitchen equipment
Work occasional shifts behind the bar
Awareness of all bookings for events and functions and liaising with clients to determine requirements
Supervising kitchen staff (and volunteers) and rostering as business requires
Report monthly to the JSA Executive Committee on kitchen performance
Liaising with members of the 3 affiliated sporting clubs regarding their requirements
Working closely with Venue Manager, Admin Manager, Bar Manager and JSA Staff
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment
High standard of food preparation and productivity
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Some experience in budget management and cost control
Exceptional presentation, communication, time management and attention to detail
Ability to work weekends including morning, afternoon, and evenings
Be a hands-on manager and be able to train, motivate and encourage a team to provide great service
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, EPOS, External ordering portals)
