Kitchen Manager

Miss Kay's is a locally owned and operated burger bar group. We serve up thousands of seriously tasty burgers and drinks to the good people of Brisbane weekly. Opening several years ago, Miss Kay's has become an iconic name in the Brisbane burger and bar scene as we strive to create a staff-driven individuality at each store, while still serving all the products our fans have come to love. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Miss Kay's is looking for someone to assume the role of Kitchen Manager at our Birkdale location. We will need someone who has experience in a similar role and is able to work independently the majority of the time. 

The kitchen is all set up and ready to go complete with a refurbishment on the way which will include aircon! All procedures are in place and ready for someone to take over and of course, all necessary teaching will be provided until our chosen candidate is fully competent in their new role. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for selecting, training, supervising, developing, disciplining and counselling staff in the Kitchen 
• Prepping, cleaning, fulfilling orders, opening & Closing
• Rostering and monitoring of kitchen staff and improvements made according to business levels 
• Responsible for managing labour, stock control & food cost according to to set targets 
• Responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance in the kitchen 
• Liaise closely with kitchen hands and cooks for cleanliness and overall hygiene. 
• Keep record of food and fridge temperature checks. 
• Take temperature readings in line with HACCP. 
• Check quality and presentation of food in each kitchen section. 
• Ensure meal times are achieved
