Andrews Meat Industries has a vacancy for a Knife handto join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is leading the way in the meat industry, whilst being the largest meat manufacturer and producer in Australia.
About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is looking for a hands on position. This is a full-time permanent roles, based in Lidcombe. Work hours 38 hours minimum - Monday to Friday with Saturday Overtime
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Large scale fresh meat handling
- Meeting production schedules and KPI’s/targets
- Cutting/trimming meat to customer specifications
- Working in cold environment
- Line set up & dismantling of equipment.
- Maintaining high levels of hygiene
- Demonstrating good safety practices
- Other related activities as required by team lead.
About you:
- Full work rights – essential e.g., citizen, permanent resident holder, long term visa holder
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Knife handling skills
- Relevant trade qualification (Cert 2/3 Meat processing)
- Experience in food manufacturing industry.
