Lab Assistant

Randstad currently has an exciting job opportunity as a Laboratory Assistant with one of Australia's biggest propagation companies. You will work Monday to Friday, from 8am-4pm.
This role will be based in the Redland's facility and will include the following tasks on a daily basis:

• Oversee the production of plant media, including quantity and quality management
• Prepare chemical stock solutions from lab-grade chemicals
• Mix stock solutions in precises quantities
• Produce species-specific nutrient solutions
• Labelling and sorting of plant media in containers for propagation
• Ensuring high quality processes for optimum production
• Data entry for reporting purposes using Microsoft Excel & Word

The ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory environment, great attention to detail and accuracy, effective communication skills, and has university level knowledge of Biotechnology, Microbiology or Chemistry. A certificate in Laboratory technology is also highly advantageous.
