The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our multinational, market leading company based at our head office in Erskine Park. You will be working in excellent conditions with a friendly and supportive team. This role is designed to develop your knowledge and skills, covering a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Testing of our manufactured products and systems, and new products and systems
- Development of standard jigs and fixtures for testing procedures
- Collection and storage of test data
- Maintenance and care of test equipment
- Routine calibration of test equipment
The Successful Candidate
To succeed in this position, you will be a strong team player with a “can do” attitude and meticulous attention to detail. You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Associate Diploma / CERT III OR IV in engineering
- Trade qualifications would also be considered.
- Capability to use power tools (essential), tooling and machinery (optional)
- Basic knowledge of CAD drafting principles and practices
- An aptitude for mathematics
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications
You will have a passion for learning and pride in your work coupled with strong organisational skills and flexibility to do what it takes to get the job done. You have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with well developed written and verbal communication skills. You possess a desire to pursue training and development opportunities and motivation to succeed.
