Form of workElecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
The Role:
Elecnor has a highly rewarding opportunity for Civil and Electrical Labourers to join our Substation team in Buronga (near Mildura, VIC).
As a labourer you will play a critical role in assisting our electricians, fitters and plant operators, to deliver the largest substation in the Southern Hemisphere!
This is a full time permanent fixed term contract on a FIFO or DIDO basis to Mildura, working 10 hour days on a 21/7 roster. Alternatively it would suit someone local who can work on this roster.
Scope of work will include:
- Excavation works/back filling
- Underground cable pull
- Laying conduit
- Pipelaying
- General site works and clean up
- Physical and manual lifting
- 70/30 labouring > operating machinery
What you will bring to the team:
- Current White Card
- High Risk Boom License - WP
- Excavator and Skid Steer ticket
- Telehandler ticket - advantage
- Minimum 4+ years experience in similar role
- Full Australian working rights
- Undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
