Skills / Experience
You must be experienced in:
- Ability to safely operate a range of light plant, machinery and equipment.
- Sound oral, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with others effectively and professionally.
- Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to obtain team objectives.
- Manual handling and operate minor plant items, for example:
- Planting
- Cutting collection
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Mulching
- Brushcutting
- Walking distances up to five kilometres per day
- Working in a variety of weather conditions including temperatures above 30ºC and wet weather.
- Undertake a full range of labourer’s duties expected of labourers which include but are not limited to;
- Shovelling (dirt, gravel, mulch and other loose material)
- Pick or crowbar work
- Bending or picking up loads
- Lifting (up to chest height) or carrying loads
- Climbing in or out of trenches
- Climbing ladders
- Raking or brooming
You will be required to have the following:
- Current Drivers Licence
- Tickets/Certificates (if applicable)
- Pre-Employment Medical Clearance
- Drug and Alcohol Clearance
- Police Clearance
