AddressTyson Foods Australia is a state of the art food processing facility located a 30 minute drive west of Ipswich, located in the Somerset Region. The facility currently manufactures a variety of high quality beef products for the Australian and export markets.
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as labourers to work within our production facility.
This role is for Afternoon Shift so you are required to be available to commence as early as 2:00pm with a finish time between 11pm - 3am.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to the production and packaging of food products. This may include but is not limited to batching, packing, reworking, lifting of frozen material, palletising, operating machinery, and maintaining cleanliness in the production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Strong mathematical & analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer skills / Microsoft office packages
- Adaptability / Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Fresh meat stock takes
- Understanding of meat eligibility for market
- Understanding process flows / organisation
- Understanding traceability (use of a scanner)
- Good housekeeping and hygiene
- Traceability of pallets
- Understanding specifications
- Understanding of Sap (preferred but not essential)
- Market eligibility, countability AI labels
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food processing or a similar industry preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in different areas of the processing facility as needed.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
