Form of workSkillset is seeking applications for a Land Works Team Lead, based in Bathurst NSW, you will report to the Project Manager, and be responsible for leading and mentoring a Land Works Crew, and working on projects throughout the Central West.
This fantastic opportunity will appeal to an individual who has an interest in supporting developing the skills of young people in our communities, a passion for the environment – regeneration and revegetation, and is seeking a challenge to work with a leading award winning regional organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing and directing a small horticultural team
- Application of Herbicide and Pesticides
- Facilitating small to large scale tree planting, bush regeneration, erosion control and remediation and seed collecting
- Facilitate maintenance work including highway and parks mowing, large scale garden maintenance, site watering and weeding as well as brush cutting, slashing and mulching.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Hold a Certificate III in Horticulture or Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management
- 3+ Years’ experience in Horticulture and/ or Landscaping
- Demonstrated people leadership and management experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and working to strict deadlines
- Drivers Licence (Manual)
- Current Chemcert Certificate (preferred)
- Current Chainsaw operations Statement of Attainment (preferred)
