A bit about the role

You will assist the Principal Landscape Architect (LA) and Senior Landscape Architects (LAs) in the comprehensive preparation of all landscape design projects throughout the municipality.

This role will implement creative, best practice, and innovative design outcomes whilst championing design excellence.

What you’ll deliver 

• Showcase robust technical proficiency, specifically in tender documentation, to efficiently support Senior LAs and Principal LA.
• Create comprehensive plans, graphics, and documents to facilitate the design and implementation of all landscape projects.
• Evaluate landscape plans for conformity with Council policies and requirements, particularly regarding design outcomes and species suitability.
• Undertake surveys and community participation exercises as directed.
• Regularly evaluate projects in line with the available budget.
• Report on landscape initiatives prepared by other planning authorities, as directed.
• Demonstrate unwavering commitment to City of Casey's endorsement of design excellence by crafting innovative, creative, and thoughtful design proposals.

What you’ll bring

• Degree or Masters in Landscape Architecture.
• Previous experience working within landscape practice.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Tender Documentation experience and exceptional AutoCAD skill are required.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
• A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
