The team has a vacancy for an experienced Landscape Gardener to provide support to a small team of supported employees, with the following duties:

• Mentor Supported Employees undertaking gardening and maintenance work, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Supervise gardening and grounds maintenance, including upkeep of garden beds and open spaces, and the repair of tools and irrigation systems.
• Ensure safe use and storage of horticultural chemicals.
• Complete documentation and reporting including logbooks, and incident reports.

Essential Requirements:

• Certificate 3 in Horticulture and/ or significant experience in horticulture and landscape maintenance.
• Exposure to the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Experience providing support to workers with disabilities or similar.
• A patient and supportive outlook, with ability to coach, mentor, and direct others.
• Strong time management skills to ensure planning and execution of required works.

Desirable:

• Certificate 3 Disability would be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a similar role, and be able to engage effectively with others to ensure achievement of operational KPI’s.Other:

• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance.
• Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Flexible to work at varying locations to meet external contract requirements.
