Landscaper and Gardener Positions

Apprentice or experienced Landscaper and Gardener/horticulturist wanted.

Operating in the industry of landscaping and garden maintenance for over 18 years, this family-owned business is seeking an enthusiastic landscaper/gardener to support our growing portfolio on a full-time basis. This includes servicing of both large commercial grounds, including parks and community gardens, as well as smaller private dwellings. 

Whilst our head office is located in the Western Suburbs, our client base now stretches across a number of regions around Victoria from the Western Suburbs and Greater Geelong to the inner cities of Melbourne and outer Northern Suburbs. Whilst this role will mostly be servicing the Western Suburbs, some travel outside of the region will be required.

The successful applicant(s) will be set up with all of the required tools of trade.  A current and valid *manual driver’s licence* is mandatory.  

The successful applicant will be honest and reliable, with relevant practical experience and/ or qualifications. They will also be a proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to carry out work either individually or as part of a team. 

All applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Knowledge in the use of lawnmowers, brush cutters, power and hand tools and general gardening. (Gardeners)
• Knowledge of turf installation, irrigation, steel, brick and timber edging, paving and structural features. (Landscapers)
• Knowledge in the use of herbicides, insecticides and general weed / pest control
• Plant knowledge - identification and maintenance requirements
• The ability to work with minimal supervision
• A knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices
• A friendly manner and good communication skills in dealings with our clients
• A focus on time management
• Attention to detail
