Location:  Somersby – NSW Central Coast

As a result of our ongoing growth and success, Crossmuller are seeking experienced Laser Machine Operator to join our mechanical team at our state of the art Manufacturing Facility at Somersby.

The Role

We are looking for Laser Machine Operators with experience in all aspects of laser cutting to join our team based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. 

Responsibilities include:

• Able to maintain acceptable material cut quality
• Ability to check parts for quality and accuracy
• Meeting quoted time estimates and recording details
• Knowledge of cutting materials and steel types
• Maintaining weekly cleaning of laser bed and scrap trays and required maintenance
• Monitoring stock levels of consumables 
• Scheduling job orders to maintain efficiency & optimum use of time 
• Loading & unloading of machine when required to keep machine running
• Keeping material racks and workplace clean and in order

To be considered for this position you will:

• Have relevant trade experience
• Understanding laser cut principles and able to change cutting conditions 
• Experience in operating laser cutting machines
• Forklift Licence would be preferred
• Ability to work unsupervised and complete set tasks
• Have excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy and safety
