Laundry Assistant

We are currently seeking Laundry Assistants to join our hospitality team at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home in Eaton. Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.

Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Assistant

Ensure all personal laundry and linen is laundered correctly and ensure infection control practices are adhered to
Sort and wash linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
Load and unload washing machine and tumble dryers
Sort and fold clean and dry linen for dispatch to sites
Report damage or wear and recommend repairs or replacement
Place clean linen into trolleys for delivery

About You:
Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Cleaner, Laundry Assistant, Kitchen Hand or Food Services Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group
A current police clearance or willingness to get one
