Karl Chehade Dry Cleaning is on the hunt for a Laundry Supervisor to run our laundry division!
We're Australia's largest dry cleaning business with a 60+ year history in Adelaide, using 100% environmentally friendly GreenEarth dry cleaning technology, and serving both retail and commercial customers.
Training is provided, but ideally you will have professional laundry experience, or production experience at senior level. You may come from a commercial laundry, housekeeping or facilities management background. Perhaps you've been working on a manufacturing or assembly production line, and now you're ready for your next challenge.
You will be responsible for the supervision of our entire laundry department, which is housed at a different location to our main factory. You will be responsible for sorting and processing the work, ensuring that it is completed on time and to quality standard, every time.
You're an exceptional time manager, and you can juggle competing priorities at once. You enjoy working unsupervised, because you thrive under your own autonomy. You're customer focused, and can drive results toward 100% satisfaction.
We're a fast paced business, and you'll be on your feet most of the day. Good upper body strength is required for loading and unloading the machines - so you probably won't be needing that gym membership!
Picking up and delivery of work is required, so an Australian driver's licence and clean driving record is essential.
The position is full time, Monday to Friday. The exact start and finish times are negotiable, but generally we start around 7am. We are open to negotiating this with the right candidate.
The ideal candidate:
- Will have professional laundry experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
- Must have an Australian driver's licence
- Will be reliable, responsible and able to work unsupervised
- Possesses a good understanding of clothing and textiles
- Will be quality focused, and possess high attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Is available Monday to Friday, from 7am
