CN has multiple Law Graduate opportunities available in our Property & Injury Liability (PIL) team. Our PIL team in Brisbane, led by four Partners, works across a broad range of insurance and commercial disputes including public liability, product liability and property damage claims. The PIL team acts for insurers, brokers, underwriters and claims companies, as well as corporate insureds.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting team members with research or other related tasks to progress matters
- Working on smaller matters and files under direct supervision
- Attending and providing assistance at court proceedings, mediations, conferences, etc. where appropriate
- Other matter related and law graduate work as delegated by the partner/senior work authors.
This role is suitable for a recent law graduate who has commenced or completed their PLT program or you are soon to graduate from your law degree and will commence your PLT program within the next 6 months.
This 12-month contract will be reviewed upon completion; our aim will be to offer a subsequent contract to those who show strong technical ability alongside passion and enthusiasm for our clients and their specialisation area.
Essential Experience and Criteria
You have a strong academic record and a keen interest in personal injury, public liability, product liability and property damage type matters. You have highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills. You are passionate about building strong working relationships and providing high quality service and advice.
Candidates must be available to commence full-time work in January 2023. CN will provide financial assistance towards your PLT program.
