Job Responsibilities
- Manage a file load from start to finish, under Partner supervision, involving court work and court appearances on behalf of their Local Government clients
- Prepare evidence, charge sheets, and briefs to counsel, liaise with clients, defence solicitors, barristers, expert witnesses, and third parties
- Compile litigation briefs and court books, prepare correspondence and cost disclosures to clients, and manage files effectively
- 1 – 2 years PAE experience as a Lawyer, preferably with litigation experience, particularly at the Magistrate’s Court level
- Prior experience in conducting court/tribunal appearances and a strong desire to do so
- Strong plain business language drafting skills and attention to detail, excellent literacy, spelling, and grammar
- Exceptional time management, organisational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, client service approach, and commitment to producing quality work
