About our opportunityThis position will have you operating Council's trucks (predominantly a tipper truck) and carting materials around and throughout the City of Moreton Bay for the Roads and Drains team/s unsealed roads crews. You will be responsible for delivering within certain time frames at times, operating relevant plant and equipment where licenced or trained to do so while also undertaking daily checks and basic maintenance on the vehicle/plant each day. There may also be a requirement for you to perform some manual tasks at times.
About youIdeally you will have demonstrated tipper truck experience and previous recent truck driving experience in a similar capacity. You will have the ability to safely undertake manual tasks if required, work constructively as part of a team, meet any required pickup/delivery deadlines or requirements and the be able to learn and work with new software programs for work orders where required.Paired with the above listed skills and experience, you will hold a current truck licence (minimum HR - heavy rigid) and a Construction Induction Card.We are focused on delivering on our corporate values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Sustainability, and we are seeking people who resonate with these values.
