• Permanent Full Time
• $68,884 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading

Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 6 of the EBA5 * 9 day fortnight

• 76 hour fortnight
• Location: Burpengary - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.

About our opportunityThis position will have you predominantly operating 15t excavators on a daily basis performing roads and drains related maintenance duties such as clearing and realigning drains, using the flail mower and cleaning/clearing culverts. You will be driving the truck to designated work sites, operating other equipment (where trained and/or licenced to do so), carrying out pre start checks on the relevant plant/equipment and reporting any defects or safety issues with the plant/equipment or projects as required.About youIdeally you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position using a similar excavator size. You will have demonstrated experience in the operation of excavators on civil construction and/or maintenance activities and adequate numeracy, written and verbal communication skills to sufficiently undertake administrative duties as necessary for the role, read safety instructions, plans and to effectively communicate with team members and the public.Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum HR - heavy rigid class), a Construction Induction Card and Certification in the operation in Excavator (LE).
